Meatloaf with Cooked Ham and Provola

in

The Meatloaf with ham and provola is a tasty and flavorful recipe. Great for a meat-based dinner, it’s easy to prepare and can also be cooked in a frying pan. You can stuff this meatloaf with any ingredients you have at home; I chose cooked ham and a gooey center of smoked provola!

Meatloaf Ingredients

  • 1 lb 2 oz veal (ground)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 oz (about 1/4 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 3.5 oz smoked provola (scamorza)
  • 3.5 oz cooked ham
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste butter
  • 1 sprig chopped parsley

Steps Meatloaf with ham and provola

  • In a bowl, combine the ground meat with the breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, eggs, Parmesan, salt and pepper.

Mix everything together, adding the milk as well, until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Place the mixture on baking paper in a rectangular shape, and fill it with the provola and slices of cooked ham.

Roll up the meatloaf using the baking paper to help you.

Brush it with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle breadcrumbs on the surface, finishing with small knobs of butter.

Place it in a baking dish.
Bake in a fan-assisted oven at 374°F for about 30–40 minutes or until golden brown.
    Serve warm and enjoy!

The meatloaf can be prepared in advance and kept in the refrigerator until ready to bake. Alternatively, it can be cooked and stored covered with plastic wrap in the refrigerator and reheated when needed. It keeps for about two days.
