Orange Bundt Cake with Butter-Free Glaze

The orange bundt cake with butter-free glaze
is a very soft, delicious cake flavored with orange and covered with an orange glaze; it’s a real delight. It’s very easy to prepare and made with simple ingredients, using oil instead of butter, so it’s also perfect for those with lactose intolerance.
Great for breakfast or an afternoon snack, and delightful after dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 7 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3.4 fl oz orange juice (about 2 oranges)
  • 1 lemon (zest)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 2/3 cups powdered sugar
  • as needed orange juice

Preparation

  • Let’s see how to prepare the orange bundt cake with butter-free glaze.

    In a bowl pour the eggs and granulated sugar, mix well with an electric whisk; add the freshly squeezed orange juice, the grated lemon zest and the oil, continuing to mix well.

    Gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder.

    Pour into a pan for bundt cake, greased and floured; bake in a preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes at 356°F.

  • Let’s prepare the glaze.

    Sift the powdered sugar into a bowl, add the orange juice little by little, mixing well until you obtain the desired consistency. Once the glaze has reached the right thickness, decorate the bundt cake with the orange glaze.

The orange bundt cake with butter-free glaze can be enriched with dark chocolate chips. If you love the orange flavor, you can increase the amount of grated zest.
