Plumcakes in the air fryer are quick to make, easy, and perfect even for Sunday breakfast. To prepare the yogurt plumcakes in the air fryer I used single-serving paper molds and with this amount I made 4 (I use these HERE ). Alternatively you can use a single 20 cm (about 7.87 in) pan, increasing the cooking time; if you don’t use disposable molds be sure to butter and flour the pan even if it is non-stick. I used Greek yogurt which I adore; alternatively you can use fruit yogurt or plain, even lactose-free if you are intolerant. Cooking time may vary depending on the type of air fryer you use (I use this airfryer HERE ). If you’re looking for another sweet recipe to prepare in the air fryer I recommend the YOGURT CAKE IN THE AIR FRYER. How to make Plumcakes in the air fryer
Let’s begin preparing the Plumcakes in the air fryer. Pour the eggs and sugar into a bowl and beat with the whisk until the mixture is light and fluffy. Then, slowly add the sunflower oil in a thin stream, the Greek yogurt, the vanilla extract and the milk, incorporating everything with the electric whisk.
When the mixture is homogeneous, sift in the flour and baking powder and mix until you obtain a lump-free, smooth batter. Add a few tablespoons of chocolate chips and fold them in with a spatula.
Divide the batter among the plumcake molds and make a lengthwise incision down the middle with a knife; this will help the plumcakes cook through evenly.
Preheat the air fryer to 392°F and let it warm for 3 minutes. Open the basket, place the plumcakes inside, close and cook at 392°F for 10 minutes. Before removing them from the basket perform the toothpick test; if it is still moist continue cooking for another 2 minutes.
When the Plumcakes in the air fryer are ready, remove them from the basket, let them cool and, if you like, dust them with powdered sugar.
How to store Plumcakes in the air fryer
Store them covered in a cake tin or in a bag for 3-4 days.
