An easy dessert to prepare and perfect to keep in the freezer for last-minute guests, the swirled Nutella semifreddo is a creamy, no-bake dessert that is made with just a few ingredients. It’s a simple recipe but always impressive, ideal when you want to bring to the table a cold Nutella dessert that will win everyone over.
The base of this Nutella semifreddo is a cream made with mascarpone and whipped heavy cream, stabilized with a little gelatin. Nutella is then added in spoonfuls and gently swirled with a skewer to create the typical marbled effect that characterizes the swirled Nutella semifreddo.
After resting in the freezer the dessert is creamy when sliced and can be decorated as you like. I chose to top it with additional Nutella and a crunchy chopped hazelnut sprinkle mixed with a bit of chopped dark chocolate: a perfect contrast that makes this no-bake Nutella dessert even more irresistible.
