The HASSELBACK POTATOES are a side dish that is dramatic and irresistible, perfect for enriching any table with simplicity and elegance. Originating in Sweden, these potatoes are distinguished by their characteristic accordion cut: thin incisions that do not go all the way through, allowing the potato to open slightly during baking and become crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
While roasting in the oven, the slices gently separate, creating a golden, fragrant surface that perfectly absorbs seasonings such as butter, extra virgin olive oil, aromatic herbs and spices. The result is a truly unique contrast of textures: crispness on the surface and a soft, creamy core.
Hasselback potatoes are extremely versatile and can be adapted in many ways: they can be enriched with melting cheeses, crispy bacon, garlic, rosemary or thyme, or served in a lighter version with fresh herbs and a drizzle of oil. Perfect as a side for meat and fish, but also as a vegetarian main course, they are ideal for both an informal lunch and a more refined dinner.
Easy to prepare but impressive to look at, Hasselback potatoes win you over at first glance and first bite, bringing a perfect mix of flavor, simplicity and creativity to the table.
