Peas add a sweet, vegetal note that pleasantly contrasts with the neutrality of the fish, creating a tasty and light combination.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets cod
  • 1 3/4 cups peas
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsps white wine
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of cod with peas

  • Cook the peas in boiling salted water for about ten minutes.
    Drain them and set aside.
    Peel the garlic clove.

  • Heat a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a skillet and let the garlic clove brown in it.
    Add the cod fillets, sear them for a few minutes and then deglaze with the white wine.
    Season with salt and let the flavors meld.

  • Add the peas and cook for another ten minutes, covering the skillet with a lid and on medium heat.
    Serve immediately, piping hot, your cod with peas.
