Air-fried asparagus with Speck Alto Adige IGP is a delightful spring side dish that can also be served as an appetizer. With just a few ingredients and simple steps, you’ll bring a tasty and versatile recipe to the table.
The savory flavor of Speck Alto Adige IGP pairs perfectly with the aroma of green asparagus, and thanks to air-fryer cooking, which gives it crispness, it creates an interesting contrast with the softness of the asparagus.
Serve these asparagus with pink sauce (cocktail sauce), an herb sauce, or simply a few drops of lemon juice… they’ll win everyone over!

Ingredients
- 1.1 lb green asparagus
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (plus 1 tsp (about 50 ml total))
- 7.8 oz Speck Alto Adige IGP (sliced)
- to taste lemon (optional)
- to taste pink sauce (optional (cocktail sauce))
Steps
To prepare air-fried asparagus with Speck Alto Adige IGP, wash the asparagus and remove the woody ends of the stalks. You can cut them with a knife or simply snap them off by hand. Place them in a baking dish, season with salt, pepper and extra-virgin olive oil and mix well.
Preheat the air fryer to 374°F.
Take one asparagus at a time and, starting just below the tip, wrap the stalk with a slice of Speck Alto Adige IGP. Do the same for all the asparagus.
When the air fryer reaches temperature, open the basket, place a sheet of perforated parchment paper suitable for the air fryer inside, and arrange the asparagus wrapped with Speck Alto Adige IGP in a single layer.
Drizzle the remaining oil from the baking dish over the asparagus.
Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the asparagus reach the desired doneness and the Speck Alto Adige IGP is crispy. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the asparagus.
Remove your asparagus with Speck Alto Adige IGP from the air fryer and enjoy them hot or warm. If you like, season with a few drops of lemon juice and serve accompanied by pink sauce.
