Shortcrust Pastry Horns with Nutella

in

The shortcrust pastry horns with Nutella are easy and quick little treats and are the perfect solution if you have unexpected guests at home! Thanks to the ready-made base, you can bring a delicious breakfast or snack to the table in about thirty minutes. The pâte brisée, with its crumbly texture and less buttery flavour than puff pastry, perfectly enhances the soft Nutella® centre. You can also add some brown sugar on top to make everything crunchier. If you like pâte brisée you can also try:

Ingredients to make shortcrust pastry horns with Nutella

  • 1 roll shortcrust pastry
  • as needed Nutella®
  • as needed milk
  • as needed brown sugar

Tools

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Teaspoons

Steps to make shortcrust pastry horns with Nutella

  • To prepare the shortcrust pastry horns with Nutella, first unroll one roll of shortcrust pastry. Divide it into 8 pieces using a pizza cutter or a knife. Place a teaspoon of Nutella in the wider part of each horn.

  • Roll the horn onto itself starting from the wider side toward the tip of the triangle. If you like, you can slightly tuck the tips of the horns to prevent them from opening during baking. Preheat the conventional oven (no fan) to 356°F and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Place the horns on the parchment paper. Brush them with milk and, if you wish, sprinkle brown sugar on top as I did. Bake for about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

  • Your horns are ready to be eaten! Simple but delicious!
