Lactose-free Chocolate Topping

The chocolate topping is a delicious sweet sauce made without lactose and with only three ingredients. Ideal for garnishing your favorite desserts such as ice cream, panna cotta, pancakes but also fruit salad, this chocolate topping is ready in a few minutes. You will need water, sugar and dark chocolate to obtain a chocolate topping you won’t be able to do without!

Chocolate topping
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Inexpensive
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Cooking time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 1 Piece

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup (about 5 fl oz) water
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate (about 100 g)

Steps

  • To make the chocolate topping, pour the water and sugar into a small saucepan. Place the saucepan over low heat and let the sugar dissolve.

  • Then add the chocolate broken into pieces and continue cooking over low heat.

  • Allow the chocolate to melt completely and stir to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook for two minutes.

  • Then remove from the heat and let cool.

  • Store the topping in a glass jar (300 ml) in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
