Aperitif Aperol Spritz recipe
The Aperol Spritz probably needs no introduction: with its unmistakable orange color it is known throughout the world.
Personally I’m not a big drinker, but when there’s a Spritz it’s hard to resist raising a glass with friends.
Much loved for its unique flavor, low alcohol content and for being customizable depending on the bitter you choose.
Here is the recipe, very easy, to prepare Spritz at home, with tips from a professional bartender, in just 5 minutes.

Preparation Aperol Spritz
Start by filling the glass with ice, then pour the prosecco D.O.C. (about 3 fl oz).
Add the Aperol (about 2 fl oz) and the soda (about 1 fl oz). As an alternative to soda you can also use sparkling water or seltzer.
Finish the drink by garnishing it with a slice of orange,
This method of preparation prevents the Aperol from settling at the bottom.
TIPS AND VARIATIONS
Needless to say, the Aperol Spritz should be consumed immediately.
The spritz can be prepared with the combinations: prosecco, red bitter (Aperol, Campari or Select) and sparkling water or seltzer, where the prosecco can also be replaced with a dry white wine.
Or sparkling white wine, Aperol (or bitter) and tonic water.

What does an Aperol Spritz contain?
The official recipe calls for Aperol, prosecco and soda, but the variant with Campari is also very common.
What does three parts of prosecco mean?
By “part” we mean the ratio between the ingredients in the cocktail. Usually one part corresponds to about 1 fl oz (30 ml). If you put two parts of Aperol (so about 2 fl oz / 60 ml), you should put in proportion three parts of Prosecco (about 3 fl oz / 90 ml).
