Pasta with saffron quick recipe

in ,

The pasta with saffron quick recipe is indeed prepared very quickly and you won’t need any strange ingredients; I guarantee it’s really tasty and children like it too. I made it a few days ago for lunch because I didn’t have much in the fridge and seeing the cream I thought of pasta and cream, but then I decided to add saffron and it was a fabulous stroke of luck: the yellow-colored, very flavorful pasta immediately won me over. • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Cooking time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 4
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients for pasta with saffron

  • 11 oz short pasta (I used large fusilli)
  • 5/8 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 sachet saffron
  • 2 pinches salt and pepper

Preparation pasta with saffron

  • To prepare the pasta with saffron, first put a pot of salted water on the heat to cook the pasta.

  • Once boiling, cook the pasta you choose; regular fusilli, penne, rigatoni or even spaghetti are fine. Leave the pasta rather al dente.

  • While the pasta is cooking, heat the cream together with the milk in a skillet and dissolve the sachet of saffron, stirring well; season with salt and pepper.

  • Drain the pasta very al dente, reserving a few tablespoons of the cooking water; put the pasta in the skillet with the sauce, add some of the cooking water and toss everything until fully cooked.

  • Serve the pasta with saffron as soon as it’s ready and..
    ENJOY YOUR MEAL

Notes

The pasta should be eaten immediately, but if you have leftovers you can keep them in the fridge for up to 2 days. With leftover pasta try putting it in a baking dish, sprinkle with Parmesan and gratinate in the oven for 15 minutes and you’ll have a delicious baked pasta.
