NOTES and TIPS

🍷 Savory pairings
Aged cheeses: such as pecorino, Parmigiano or taleggio, for an irresistible sweet-salty contrast.
Cured meats: speck, prosciutto or crispy pancetta enhance the flavor of chestnuts.
Autumn vegetables: pumpkin, sautéed mushrooms, black cabbage or grilled radicchio.
Warm salads: with arugula, walnuts, parmesan shavings and honey vinaigrette.

🍰 Sweet pairings
Dark chocolate: melted on top or in shavings, creates a rich and enveloping mix.
Honey or maple syrup: for a sweet, aromatic touch.
Marron cream (chestnut cream): if you want to go all out, pair whole chestnuts with chestnut cream for a rustic dessert.
Dried fruit: walnuts, almonds, dried figs or raisins.

Ideal beverages
Full-bodied red wine: such as Barbera, Chianti or Nebbiolo.
Amber beer: perfect to enhance the toasted flavor.
Cinnamon herbal tea: for an evening treat.
Coffee or hot chocolate: if the chestnuts are served as a dessert.
