The chocolate and coffee brownies are soft and indulgent cookies. The brownie recipe comes from the United States and there are many versions: chocolate, white chocolate, with nuts, etc. In my recipe I propose them with chocolate and coffee; the latter gives an extra aroma. Perfect for breakfast, as a snack or after meals served with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.

Steps
To prepare the chocolate and coffee brownies…
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with the broken dark chocolate. Stir occasionally with the spatula, then let it cool slightly.
While the butter and chocolate are melting, place the brown sugar and the eggs in a bowl and beat them with a hand mixer until they are pale and fluffy.
Add the instant coffee powder, two pinches of salt, and mix again with the hand mixer.
Then add the melted chocolate and butter, incorporating them with the mixer, and finally add the sifted all-purpose flour together with the baking powder.
Mix well one last time with the mixer, then use the spatula to pour the batter into a square baking pan (about 9.8 in x 9.8 in). Preferably non-stick or greased.
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F in conventional mode for 30 minutes.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool before removing it from the pan. Then cut into squares.
