Ingredients for one strawberry mojito
- 4 strawberries
- mint leaves (about ten)
- 1 lime
- 1.5 tbsp brown sugar
- 1.7 oz white rum
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 4 fl oz Sprite
- 1 tbsp strawberry syrup (optional)
- 1 strawberry
- 1 slice lime
- 1 sprig mint
Tools
- 1 Glass tall
- 1 Muddler
Preparation of the strawberry mojito
Wash the strawberries, cut them into pieces and place them in a tall glass together with half a lime cut into wedges.
Then add the mint leaves and the brown sugar.
With a muddler (or the back of a spoon) gently crush everything: this will release the essential oils from the mint leaves.
Now add the white rum: you can slightly increase the amount if you prefer a stronger drink.
Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
At this point fill the glass with coarsely crushed ice: do not use whole cubes.
Finally add the Sprite, the juice of the remaining half lime and the strawberry syrup (if you decided to use it; I guarantee it goes very well).
Garnish the strawberry mojito with a lime slice and a whole strawberry placed on the rim of the glass: you can decorate it as you like! Easy, right? Let me know if you liked it! Enjoy! Paola
