Christmas Pinecones

Ingredients for Christmas Pinecones

  • 7 oz cookies, shortbread
  • 4 oz sugar
  • 2 unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3.5 oz butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • to taste boat-shaped cereals (I used Coco Pops)
  • to taste powdered sugar

How to make Christmas Pinecones

  • Melt the butter and set aside. Grind the cookies in the food processor until they become a flour, put them in a bowl and add the sugar and cocoa. Mix with a spatula or with your hands. Add the melted butter and milk and mix with the spatula until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
    Transfer the mixture onto parchment paper, with your hands compact it into a loaf and cut it into six balls with a knife.
    With your hands, shape each ball into a pyramid and pierce it with the cereals starting from the base to the top. Once all six are done, place them on a plate and decorate with powdered sugar to create a snow effect. They’re beautiful!

Storage

You can store them for a couple of days in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
