Let’s start preparing the
Start preparing the dough for the skillet flatbreads: pour the flour, salt and instant baking powder into a bowl and mix.
Add the olive oil and then the water and mix.
Knead until you have a smooth dough.
Form a ball and let it rest for 5 minutes, but if you’re in a hurry you can roll it out immediately.
Cut the dough and shape the flatbreads: first flatten the dough by hand and then use the rolling pin.
You should obtain discs about half a centimeter thick — about 3/16 inch (≈ 0.2 in).
Now lightly oil a skillet with extra virgin olive oil and place the flatbreads taking care not to overlap them.Cook for about 10 minutes over low heat. Then flip the flatbreads with a spatula and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
Our flatbreads are ready — now we can top them as we like.
Enjoy your meal!!
