Potatoes and peas in a multicooker or instant pot, a side dish steamed in the multifunction pot. After proposing the mashed potatoes with instant pot, here is a simpler and lighter side dish based on potatoes and peas. Great to enjoy as is or to become a main dish, perhaps by adding tuna. While for cooking the gratin potatoes with multicooker an oven lid will also be needed, for this recipe only the electric pressure cooker function will be needed. You can cook the potatoes and peas in the multicooker directly in a small amount of water, or equip yourself with a steam basket that fits into the instant pot. I hope not to confuse you by switching from calling it a multicooker and instant pot, as I explain in this Guide to instant pot and in my book Multicooker (Gribaudo) it is always about the programmable multifunction pot.

How to Cook Potatoes with Peas in the Instant Pot
Wash, peel, and wash the potatoes again. Cut them into large cubes about 0.8 inches on each side. Distribute the potatoes with the peas in the multicooker or in the basket placed inside the pot (cubeta), salt, and pour the water. Close the pot with its pressure lid.
If you put the vegetables in contact with the water, program the pot for 8 minutes with the pressure function and start cooking.
If you instead placed the vegetables in the basket inside the instant pot, start cooking again with the pressure function but for 11 minutes.
At the end of cooking, in both cases, leave the pot closed for 5 minutes.
Depressurize the pot by opening the lid valve, then remove the vegetables, distribute them on a plate, and serve.
Extra Tips from Rosella
I recommend consuming this recipe the same day. If you prefer to find it hot and ready when you return from work, remember that multicookers can be programmed to start cooking at a specific time and that the same pot, once cooking is finished, keeps warm until the moment of consumption.
Potatoes and Carrots in the Multicooker
With the same cooking times, you can also cook diced potatoes and sliced carrots.
