The spoonable chocolate brownie in the air fryer is a super-quick dessert that you can prepare in just a few minutes and bake in only about 15 minutes. It’s ideal when you crave something tasty without waiting too long. With a melting, creamy center, this chocolate brownie is eaten straight from the spoon! If you have very ripe bananas that are about to be thrown away, this is the perfect recipe to transform them into something indulgent and irresistible.
Baking in the air fryer or in the oven is super fast and delivers a special texture: the outside firms up slightly while the inside remains incredibly soft, creamy, and melting, perfect to eat by the spoonful. The best result is when it’s still warm or slightly warm, because the heart stays cozy and gooey. You can also eat it cold from the fridge, where the texture will be pudding-like with an even more intense and indulgent flavor.
It’s important to note that, although the inside is very creamy, this is not a “raw” dessert. The recipe does not use traditional wheat flour but oat flour, an ingredient that can be safely eaten raw (for example, added to yogurt). Also, there are no eggs, so there are no ingredients that absolutely require cooking.
Below you’ll find detailed instructions for air fryer cooking, and an oven alternative by slightly increasing temperature and time.

Ingredients
- 2 bananas

- 3/4 cup (6 fl oz) milk
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- Half tsp baking powder (or a pinch of baking soda)
- to taste dark chocolate chips

Steps
Mash the bananas until you have a puree. Add the oat flour, the cocoa, the milk and the baking powder. Mix everything well and add the chocolate chips.
Bake in the air fryer at about 356°F for roughly 13-14 minutes, or in a conventional oven at 374°F for about 20-22 minutes. Once ready, let it cool for about ten minutes.
Serve warm by the spoonful: the inside will be gooey and creamy. If you chill it in the fridge, you’ll get a pudding-like texture. It’s delicious both ways. Enjoy!
Vale’s Tips
• Substitutions: you can use plant-based milk or any beverage you prefer. For the flour, instead of oat flour you can use almond flour. Flours that require cooking (such as wheat or rice flours) are strongly not recommended.
• Air fryer: I used the COSORI 4.7 liter air fryer to cook it. You can find it here: air fryer.
