A dessert my aunt used to prepare on Sundays when we often had lunch together with the grandparents and us, the grandchildren, the aunt’s two-cream dessert is simple. For me, it smells of childhood, like dad’s donut, but most importantly, it’s delicious. Made with tea biscuits, a vanilla cream, and a chocolate cream, it’s very quick to prepare and loved by everyone. If you don’t want to use coffee because you want to serve it to kids, you can soak the biscuits with milk and cocoa or just with milk, or even with barley coffee.
Let’s get to work and prepare the aunt’s two-cream dessert together.

Steps for Preparing Aunt’s Two-Cream Dessert
Prepare the custard. In a saucepan, mix the egg yolks with the sugar. Add the cornstarch and stir until you have a smooth cream. Dissolve the vanilla extract in the milk.
Pour the milk slowly into the yolk mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Cook while stirring until the cream thickens. Divide the cream into two bowls. Add the chopped chocolate to one part and stir until, with the heat of the cream, it melts. Cover both creams with plastic wrap (PVC and BPA-free) in contact. Let cool.
Remove the plastic wrap and work the creams. In a baking dish, make a layer of biscuits. Moisten them with the coffee. Pour the chocolate cream. Make another layer of biscuits. Pour the vanilla cream, and after leveling, place in the fridge for at least a couple of hours before serving with a dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder.
Storage
You can store the dessert in the fridge for a couple of days.
