Chicken Ham and Mushrooms Tasty Recipe

CHICKEN HAM AND MUSHROOMS The recipe I am sharing today is an easy, quick, and incredibly tasty one. Those who have been following me for a long time know that I love chicken and I often prepare it for my family. Today, I tried this creamy and super tasty version that even won over the little ones at home who are the most discerning! To prepare this recipe, we can use fresh or dried mushrooms. In my case, I had a packet of dried porcini mushrooms in the pantry, and I used those, but I will explain in the recipe how to do it with fresh mushrooms as well. Ingredients for Chicken Ham and Mushrooms for 4 People

  • 1.3 lbs chicken breast (sliced)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste flour
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 0.9 oz dried porcini mushrooms (alternatively 5 oz fresh champignon)
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 2 slices cooked ham
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • to taste oregano

Preparation of Chicken Ham and Mushrooms

As mentioned at the beginning of the recipe, I’ll show you the steps to follow with both fresh and dried mushrooms: if using fresh mushrooms, we must clean them gently with a damp paper towel (mushrooms should not be washed) and then slice them; if using dried mushrooms, just soak them 5 minutes beforehand, then squeeze them and proceed with the chicken preparation.

  • In a large non-stick pan like this one, put the oil and garlic clove and turn on high heat. As soon as the garlic starts to sizzle, add the mushrooms and sauté for about 3/4 minutes, then set them aside and in the same pan, cook the chicken slices that have been previously floured.

  • Now, sauté the chicken breast slices until they are well browned on both sides, then set them aside with the mushrooms, and in the same pan, sauté the cherry tomatoes that have been previously washed, dried, and cut in half.

  • When the cherry tomatoes have softened, return the chicken and mushrooms to the pan and continue cooking for a couple of minutes, adjust the salt, add oregano, and then a generous glass of milk, lower the heat, cover, and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • During cooking, the milk will be absorbed, leaving a delicate creamy sauce. Now our chicken ham and mushrooms are ready to be served!
