Using the air fryer reduces the cooking time of the meat and at the same time lightens the electricity bill because it doesn’t need to preheat like the oven does.

For cooking with the air fryer, we used our new air fryer Moulinex Easy Fry & Grill, a digital oil-free fryer with an electric grill.

Steps for Spicy Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer:

  • Wash the chicken wings well, then with a lot of patience and tweezers remove all the hairs.

Take a chicken wing between your hands and fold it inward, rotate it slightly to separate the bones, then with a sharp knife cut the skin to obtain two parts, do the same procedure with all the available wings.

  • In a large bowl, place the garlic powder, ginger, sweet and hot paprika, and cumin; mix the ingredients well, then add the chicken wings and use your hands to coat them well with the spices. Salt and pepper, then add the extra virgin olive oil and coat the meat well. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (you can safely leave it for half a day so the meat gets more flavor).

After the time has passed, place the wings on the air fryer grill, cook at 356°F for 25 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking.

The wings should be nice and golden on the outside.

Serve immediately accompanied by mayonnaise or if you love bolder flavors, with barbecue sauce.

  • OVEN COOKING:

For oven cooking, place the wings in a non-stick baking dish after marinating and cook at 392°F for 30/40 minutes.
