- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

How to prepare the colorful zebra cake
Put the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Mix with the electric mixer until you get a fluffy and frothy mixture.
Add the milk and oil and mix.
Add the flour and baking powder. Mix well, being careful not to create lumps.
Divide the batter into three equal parts. Add the unsweetened cocoa powder to one part and mix. Add the alchermes to the second part and mix. Add two tablespoons of flour to the third batter and mix.
Grease and flour a 9.5-inch pan. In the center, place two tablespoons of batter for each color, alternating them. For example, two tablespoons of plain batter, two tablespoons of cocoa batter, and two tablespoons of pink batter. Then again, two tablespoons of plain batter, and so on. Continue until the three batters are finished.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F. Let it cook for about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the cooking times based on your oven.
Take out of the oven, let it cool slightly and if you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Help yourself.
Storage
The cake can be stored at room temperature under a glass dome for 3/4 days.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Can I substitute the alchermes?
If you don’t want to use alcohol, the alchermes can be omitted or replaced with raspberry or strawberry syrup (to maintain the color) or with red/pink food coloring. The color might not be the same, but the taste will still be great.
