Ingredients
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups spelt flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup sunflower oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- to taste lemon flavor
- to taste chocolate chips (for topping)

How to Prepare the Cake with Spelt Flour
In a bowl, add the baking powder, chocolate chips, sugar, and spelt flour. Stir with a spoon.
Add the eggs, oil, and milk. Stir with the spoon.
If you like, add a few drops of lemon flavor. Stir with the spoon.
Pour the mixture into a 10-inch tart pan, previously buttered and floured.
Add more chocolate chips on the surface.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F. Let it cook for about 30 minutes. Please check the cooking times according to your oven.
Storage
The cake can be stored at room temperature, under a glass dome or in an airtight container, for 3-4 days.

If you don’t have spelt flour, you can substitute it with all-purpose flour type 0 or 00. The final texture might vary slightly.
Can I substitute sunflower oil?
For a richer flavor, you can use melted and cooled butter (about 1/3 cup).

You can use coarsely chopped chocolate, or chopped nuts like walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts.
