NUTELLA ICE CREAM WITHOUT ICE CREAM MAKER Have you ever been asked for ice cream but didn’t have all the ingredients available… A few days ago, during a terrible heatwave, my girls decided they wanted Nutella ice cream, but I didn’t have cream or condensed milk at home, so what to do? I tried to make this very simple ice cream, it takes 5 minutes to prepare and then you just need the patience to wait for it to solidify in the freezer, no ice cream maker is needed and we won’t have to stir it every half hour to prevent crystallization, after letting it rest, we will get a very creamy and lump-free ice cream that is easy to scoop even right out of the freezer. Let me invite you to join me in the kitchen, I’ll show you how to make NUTELLA ICE CREAM WITHOUT ICE CREAM MAKER!

- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1.5 cups Nutella®
Preparation of Nutella Ice Cream without Ice Cream Maker
As you will see, the preparation of this Nutella ice cream without ice cream maker is really super quick. The only advice I give you is to make it in advance before anyone asks for it, as it needs to rest in the freezer overnight. When they come asking for some good ice cream, you will be ready to fulfill their request!
In a saucepan, put the whole milk and powdered sugar (if you don’t have it, you can easily replace it with granulated sugar), then turn on the heat and keep it low, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
Once the sugar has dissolved, pour in the Nutella and continue stirring over low heat until it is completely melted. You will get a dark liquid mixture, check for any lumps, and then transfer it to a container where you will let it cool to room temperature.
Once the mixture has cooled, cover it with a lid and let it rest in the freezer for at least 8 hours, after which our Nutella ice cream will be ready to be enjoyed in all its goodness!
Unlike homemade ice creams without an ice cream maker, we won’t need to keep stirring the mixture to prevent it from crystallizing and becoming a single block. When we take it out after the resting hours in the freezer, it will be creamy and at the perfect consistency, ready to be served immediately!
