HEART OF CREAM ICE CREAM CAKE

The heart of cream ice cream cake was the summer hit a few years ago. It is inspired by the famous Algida cornetto and it is delicious. The recipe is very easy and quick to prepare, and I am sure it will win everyone over at the first bite. This treat is perfect to be served after meals or for a snack.

Ingredients for the Heart of Cream Cornetto Ice Cream Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups digestive biscuits
  • 5 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 14 oz condensed milk
  • to taste vanilla
  • 5 oz 50% dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts (chopped or whole)

  • 1 Springform Pan 9-inch
  • Parchment Paper
  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Spatula

Preparation of the Heart of Cream Cornetto Ice Cream Cake

  • Take the biscuits and blend them with a blender, then place them in a bowl (1). Melt the butter using the microwave or a double boiler and pour it over the cookies (2) and mix well (3).

  • Take the springform pan that you have previously lined with parchment paper on both the sides and the base. Pour the mixture of biscuits and butter inside (4) and use your hands to press down the base (5). Once done, place it in the refrigerator (6). Now let’s move on to the cream preparation.

  • Take a bowl, pour the cold cream and start whipping it with an electric mixer. When the cream is well whipped, add the condensed milk and the vanilla (7) and mix well. Then retrieve the base and pour the cream over it (8) and put it in the freezer for at least 6 hours (9).

  • After the time has passed, let’s proceed with the decoration. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Then chop the hazelnuts with a knife. Now take the cake out of the freezer and gently remove it from the pan and place it on a plate.

  • Now pour the melted chocolate over the cake and then scatter the chopped hazelnuts all over. Once the decoration is finished, put it back in the freezer until ready to serve.

Notes

It keeps in the freezer for about a week
