The dried apples are delicious crispy chips to enjoy as a snack or to use as a filling for various sweet recipes, but also in tasty salads. Made with the dehydrator in much quicker times than sun drying, they can also be flavored with various spices like cinnamon for a more classic taste, while with a spice mix like the one for panforte perhaps to be packaged in small bags as place cards for the Christmas table. - 2.2 lbs apples

Steps
Wash the apples thoroughly and dry them with a kitchen towel. Slice them into 1/8-inch thick slices and place them on the dehydrator trays.
Sprinkle with cinnamon
Proceed with drying for about 12 hours at 104°F-122°F. Once the apples are ready, let them cool on the trays, then store them in sealed jars or food bags.
Advice
Dried apples can be stored for up to 1 year.
