Steps to prepare steak with mushrooms
Prepare the meat by deboning it and tenderizing it with a meat tenderizer without overdoing it to avoid breaking it. If it is quite thick, you don’t need to use protection; otherwise, work using a parchment paper sheet.
In the chopper, prepare the breading with breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, and a little chili pepper. Finely chop and sprinkle the meat with the breading, set aside.
In a pan, put one or two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, add chopped garlic and crushed chili pepper, then add the mushrooms and salt, let them brown, then deglaze with white wine, and let them cook for a few minutes with the lid on. At the end of cooking, add chopped parsley.
Set aside the mushrooms. Add a little more oil to the pan and let the steaks brown on both sides. Salt and add the mushrooms, let them cook for a couple of minutes with the lid on, then we’ll be ready to enjoy our pork steak with cardoncelli mushrooms. It’s important not to overcook the meat to avoid toughening it.
Alternatively, you can use pork collar or chicken breast, which are even more tender.
