Steps

HOW TO MAKE THE CRUMBLED TART WITH FLAX SEEDS

  • WITH THE BIMBY: Blend the sugar and flax seeds for 15 seconds at speed 9. Add the cold butter for 6 seconds at speed 7, add the egg and flavoring for 6 seconds at speed 7, add the flour and baking powder for 6 seconds at speed 7.

TRADITIONAL METHOD WITH THE MIXER OR A BLENDER:Blend the sugar and flax seeds in the mixer, add the cold butter and blend again, add the other ingredients with the flour last. You should obtain a homogeneous consistency that is difficult to work with because it tends to crumble. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes in the fridge.

Crumble part of the dough into the greased and floured tart pan. If you want, you can use a sheet of parchment paper, add the jam, and cover with the remaining crumbled dough. Bake at 350°F for about 30/35 minutes, but adjust to your oven. Once cooked, dust with powdered sugar.
