These fresh and delicious ricotta, coconut, and cocoa balls can be made in just a few minutes with only four ingredients.
They are the perfect dessert for summer evenings when you’re craving something sweet and refreshing, much like the Frozen Heart Cake. You can make them in advance and store them in the fridge until it’s time to serve them.
The little one in the house loves them, and with these small treats, I’ve found a way to satisfy her constant craving for something good and especially sweet.
Now take a minute to read the recipe and then…let’s cook and enjoy!!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup ricotta
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 grated coconut (desiccated) (+ extra for coating)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Whisk
- 1 Teaspoon
- 1 Tray
- 1 Sieve
- 1 Spatula
Steps
To make these ricotta, coconut, and cocoa balls, you’ll really only need five minutes.
In a bowl, gather the ricotta previously drained in a sieve, then add the sifted powdered sugar.
Mix well with a fork until you get a smooth and homogeneous cream.
Continue by adding the sifted cocoa to the ricotta cream and mix to incorporate it perfectly.
Finally, add the grated coconut to the mixture and incorporate it into the cream. At this point, the mixture will have a moldable consistency, so take a small portion of dough at a time, roll it between your hands, then coat it in the coconut flour.
As the ricotta, coconut, and cocoa balls are ready, place them on a tray and transfer it to the fridge for a few hours or, in any case, until serving time 😉.
