Steps for preparing and cooking chicken strips with peas:

  • First, clean the chicken breast: place it on a cutting board, find the point where the bone starts and cut it, then remove any remaining fat or cartilage.

Cut it into thin slices and then each slice into strips, coat them in flour, shaking off the excess, then place them on a plate.

  • Finely chop the onion, place it in a large skillet with the extra virgin olive oil, let it flavor well, add the meat, cook on both sides, deglaze with white wine, add salt and pepper.

When the wine has evaporated, add the peas, adjust the salt, add a little vegetable broth if necessary and cook for about 15 minutes.

Serve the chicken strips with peas hot.

  • If you don’t have fresh peas, you can easily use canned or frozen ones without compromising the result of the preparation.

If you buy the whole chicken breast and then slice it yourself, you will save compared to buying pre-sliced chicken breast.

A little tip, put the chicken breast in the freezer for half an hour before slicing, this way you will get perfect, thin slices that are much easier to cut.
