Pan-Fried Pork Loin Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 slices pork loin (very thin)
  • 4 slices fontina cheese
  • 2 slices cooked ham
  • 4 slices lard
  • 1 sprig rosemary

Steps

  • Place the pork loin slices on the cutting board, lay the fontina cheese and cooked ham on 4 slices, and cover with the other 4 slices, pressing slightly.

  • Wrap each pair with lard and place the sandwiches in the very hot pan along with the rosemary sprig. Do not salt or add oil as they will cook in the fat released by the lard. After 7 minutes, turn them over and cook for another 7 minutes. The Pork Loin Sandwiches are ready to serve after draining the fat.
