Vegan Orange and Apple Half-Moons
Delicious treats shaped like a crescent moon with a vegan dough made of flour, oil, sugar, orange juice, baking powder, and flavors, filled with an apple mixture! A very simple recipe to prepare and great to enjoy at any time of the day, from breakfast to dessert!

Ingredients for Vegan Orange and Apple Half-Moons:
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 1/2 packet baking powder
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- vanilla
- orange zest
- lemon zest
- 2 apples
- 1/2 lemon
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable margarine
- ground cinnamon

Dough preparation:
In a bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, orange zest, lemon zest, oil, and orange juice.
Mix and knead until you get a smooth dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Filling preparation:
Clean and slice the apples.
In a pan, put the margarine, apples, sugar, and lemon juice, and cook for about 10 minutes.
Add a bit of cinnamon and let it cool.
Sprinkle some flour and roll out the dough. Use round cutters (cookie cutters) to cut out circles. Remove excess dough.
Place some apples on one half of each circle and fold them in half. Arrange them on a baking dish leaving some space between each. Bake at 350°F for 20/25 minutes.
