A tasty dish that’s very simple to make, great as a light main course or as an appetizer if served in smaller portions. The salad with pears, walnuts, and feta is super quick to prepare: the pears are sliced and briefly sautéed with honey and butter, then combined with the other ingredients… I added some strips of speck, but you can omit them if you prefer. Try this recipe, it’s perfect for September (and not only)!

Dry the feta and cut it into small cubes. Wash and dry the lettuce, crush the walnuts and break them into pieces.
If using it, cut the speck into strips.
Take a large bowl or platter and arrange the lettuce. Drizzle with a little olive oil and a pinch of salt.
Add the pears, feta, walnuts, and speck. Finally, sprinkle with a pinch of ground black pepper.
Your salad with pears, walnuts, and feta is ready to be served… enjoy your meal!
Tips and Notes
You can replace the lettuce with other cut salad greens, even mixed.
The quantities of the ingredients can be varied to taste, the speck is optional.
If you have untreated pears, you can leave the skin on. You can use different varieties depending on the season, the important thing is that they are firm, not too ripe.
You can prepare the salad a little in advance, but add the lettuce at the last minute, otherwise, it will lose its crunch.
