Spicy Potatoes in the Air Fryer

Spicy potatoes in the air fryer, a delicious side dish perfect to accompany meat or fish main courses.
The result is amazing, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a 20-minute cooking time, using a tablespoon of oil for almost 500 grams of potatoes, really very little with no guilt for the diet.
For this recipe, we used the Moulinex Easy Fry & Grill, a digital oil-free fryer with an electric grill, ideal for 4 people.

Ingredients for Spicy Potatoes:

  • 1.76 lbs Potatoes (about 500 grams peeled)
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 pinch Garlic powder
  • to taste Oregano
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste hot paprika (if you love strong flavors)

  • Air Fryer Moulinex
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Knife

Preparation and Cooking of Spicy Potatoes in the Air Fryer:

  • Peel the potatoes, wash them well, and cut into wedges, put them into a bowl with cold water, leave for 30 minutes, this way they lose the starch.

  • After 30 minutes, drain the potatoes and put them on a towel and dry them well or even perfectly.

    Put the potatoes back into the bowl and add the extra virgin olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and if you prefer a stronger flavor, you can add a good sprinkle of hot paprika, season with salt and pepper.

    Mix well to blend the ingredients thoroughly.

    P.S. the quantities of the seasonings are based on your taste.

  • Put the seasoned potatoes in the basket and cook at 374°F for 15/18 minutes, turning the potatoes halfway through cooking.

    The times depend greatly on the size of the potatoes.

    Once cooked, serve the spicy potatoes immediately and enjoy your meal!

    For cooking food in the air fryer you can also use parchment paper, available in stores or on Amazon in cake pan shape, very convenient and after use, you just throw it away, or use silicone trays which are washable and have unlimited durability.

  • WITHOUT AIR FRYER….

    Add another 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to the potatoes and mix well, put the potatoes in a baking dish and cook in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 30 minutes, until they are golden and crispy.

Tips:

If you prefer a more delicate flavor, you can use a mix of fresh or dried sage and rosemary.
