Today I’m sharing a simple and quick recipe to prepare: a soft cocoa and strawberry cake. Strawberries are one of the most loved fruits of the spring season. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Their intense red color, their fragrance, and their natural sweetness will win you over at the first bite.

To make the cake even more delicious, I added some dark chocolate chips to the batter. As I mentioned, it is a simple and quick dessert to prepare. It is perfect for any occasion. Accompanied by a dollop of whipped cream, it will be a decadent dessert that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup cups sugar
  • 1 cup cups milk
  • 1/3 cup cups sunflower seed oil
  • 2 1/2 cups cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 strawberries (cut into pieces)
  • 1/3 cup cups dark chocolate (chopped)

  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Spatula

How to prepare the cocoa and strawberry cake

  • In a bowl, place the eggs and sugar. Mix with the electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy and frothy.

  • Add the milk and oil. Mix with the electric mixer.

  • Add the flour, baking powder, and cocoa. Mix everything well, being careful not to create lumps.

  • Add the 3 tablespoons of flour, strawberries, and chopped chocolate. Mix with a spatula.

  • Pour the obtained mixture into a previously buttered and floured 9-inch (24 cm) pan and bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F (180°C). Let it cook for about 40 minutes. Please check the cooking times based on your oven by performing the toothpick test.

  • Remove from oven, let it cool slightly, and if desired, dust with powdered sugar.

  • Serve yourself.

Storage

The cocoa and strawberry cake keeps at room temperature, stored in a container for up to 3 days.
