The madeleine with chocolate chips are a delicious variant of the classic French cakes.
These small, soft, buttery treats, with their characteristic shell shape, are ideal to enjoy at breakfast, to accompany an afternoon tea, or as a sweet snack at any time of the day.
Madeleines are particularly easy to prepare and stand out for their soft and light texture, made unique by the classic “hump” that forms during baking.
Try them and they will become your favorite cakes!

Ingredients
- 4.6 oz butter (at room temperature)
- 3 eggs
- 4.6 oz brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 packets vanillin
- Half packet baking powder
- 1.8 oz chocolate chips
- as needed powdered sugar (for decoration)
Tools
- Molds for madeleines
- Electric Whisks
- Bowl
Steps
Preheat the oven to 340 degrees Fahrenheit
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the brown sugar until you get a frothy mixture. To perform this operation well, I recommend using electric whisks.
Add the baking powder, honey, vanillin, and soft butter and continue beating. Gradually add the sifted flour while continuing to mix until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous batter.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips to distribute them evenly.
Pour the batter into silicone molds for madeleines, filling them about 3/4 full. Bake and cook for about 15 minutes at 340 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the madeleines are golden around the edges and well risen.
Remove from the oven and let them cool.
Our madeleine with chocolate chips are ready. Serve them with a sprinkle of powdered sugar!
Enjoy your dessert.
