Potato Sticks

The potato sticks is a very tasty recipe! A golden and crunchy finger food. The recipe is really simple and quick, just mix eggs, flour, and spices (I chose oregano), but you can replace it with mint, rosemary, or fresh parsley. Then form sticks and fry them, alternatively, they can also be baked. The potato sticks are perfect to impress everyone at the table, very scenic, and perfect for buffets, they are perfect to be accompanied by sauces like mayonnaise and ketchup.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 20 as needed all-purpose flour
  • as needed oregano
  • 8 g salt

How to make potato sticks

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces and cook them in salted boiling water for about 7-8 minutes. Once cooked, mash them in a bowl.

  • Add the egg, salt, and pepper, then add the oregano and flour.

  • Knead everything well, then transfer the dough onto a lightly floured parchment paper.

  • Then roll out with a rolling pin and use a knife to create multiple sticks.

  • Fry the potato sticks in hot oil until they are golden brown.

  • Serve your sticks with your favorite sauces, and enjoy your meal!

Storage and advice for potato sticks

For this preparation, it would be preferable to consume them immediately, otherwise, they lose their crispness. Freezing is also not recommended as they would remain too soft and not as enjoyable as those cooked and eaten fresh.
