Air Fryer Baked Apples

The air fryer baked apples, super soft and with a crispy crust that conquers you at the first bite.

We also added a sprinkle of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to give more aroma and flavor to the preparation, alternatively, you can cook them simply without other ingredients.

And for the more indulgent, you can add a spoonful of Nutella or jam inside the cavity you create in the apple, a true explosion of sweetness.

For the air fryer, we used our new Moulinex Easy Fry & Grill, a digital oil-free fryer with an electric grill.

Air Fryer Baked Apples
  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Very Cheap
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 apples
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Fall, Winter

Ingredients for Air Fryer Baked Apples:

  • 4 yellow apples
  • to taste granulated sugar (optional)
  • to taste ground cinnamon (optional)

Tools for Air Fryer Baked Apples:

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Apple Corer
  • 1 Baking Tray

Steps for Preparing and Cooking Air Fryer Baked Apples:

  • Wash the apples well and dry them, since the peel is also eaten, we recommend buying organic apples.

Use an apple corer to remove the core, leaving some apple at the bottom; this way, if you add sugar and cinnamon, they will remain in the apple and make it sweeter and spicier.

  • Place the prepared apples in a baking tray or a silicone container as we did, sprinkle granulated sugar (alternatively, you can also use brown sugar) and ground cinnamon over the apples.

If you like, you can make small cuts on the apple with a knife to prevent the peel from cracking during cooking.

  • Place the baking tray on the grill and cook at 356°F for 20 minutes (we did not set any program, just the time and temperature, and pressed the air fry button).

Serve warm or at room temperature, perfect paired with a scoop of ice cream.
