Cookies with little hearts: simple and quick cookies to prepare, perfect for breakfast and snack time.
Cookies with little hearts are simple cookies to make. They are simple shortbread cookies, cut in a particular way to create the effect of colored little hearts.
To create the colored hearts, I added some food coloring to the dough: I chose pink and red. Of course, you can use any color you prefer. If you don’t like food coloring, you can make a cocoa shortbread.
But let’s see how to prepare cookies with little hearts.

How to Prepare Cookies with Little Hearts
In a bowl, add the egg and sugar. Mix with a spoon.
Add the milk and oil. Mix with the spoon.
Finally, add the flour and baking powder. Start mixing with the spoon, then when you can no longer do so, continue kneading by hand until you get a compact and homogeneous dough.
Divide the dough in half. Take one part and divide it again in half.
Roll out the larger part with the rolling pin on a slightly floured sheet of parchment paper. Set aside for a moment.
Take a smaller portion and add a few drops of pink food coloring. Work with your hands until you get a uniformly colored dough. Take the last piece of dough and add a few drops of red food coloring and continue in the same way as the previous dough.
Roll out the two colored doughs with the rolling pin, always on a slightly floured parchment paper.
With a small heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out many colored little hearts.
Now take the light dough and cut out the hearts. Gently remove them and place the colored hearts in their place.
Cut the cookies with a slightly larger heart-shaped pastry cutter than the previous one.
Place the obtained cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated static oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Let them bake for about 7 minutes. Please check the cooking times according to your oven.
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve.
