The properties of natural yogurt, without added sugars are well known because it contains calcium, minerals, is a valid alternative to milk and improves intestinal well-being. It also works very well for both savory and sweet preparations!
Given the really high temperatures this sunny Summer, the desire to make bundt cakes and cookies has completely passed, but you know that I love to experiment, so I thought of a snack different from the usual, fresh and quick… ready in just 10′ using yogurt, shredded coconut, and chocolate. There are no added sugars except in the chocolate, but if you want to make it sweeter, you can add a teaspoon of honey.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup plain natural yogurt
- 4 tbsp shredded coconut
- 1 oz 50% dark chocolate
Steps
– Mix the yogurt and shredded coconut in a bowl; mix well, divide into small cups or coffee cups and refrigerate.
– Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, let it cool slightly, and pour it onto the surface of the cups. Freeze for 5′.
Tips and Storage.
The cold yogurt snack can stay in the fridge for at least 2 days, covered with plastic wrap directly on the surface. If desired, you can decorate the surface with shredded coconut.
FAQ (Questions and Answers)
– Can I replace the yogurt with fruit-flavored one?
– Yes, I recommend the coconut flavor, but keep in mind it contains sugars.
– Can I add chocolate chips/nuts?
– Yes.
– I am lactose intolerant, what can I use?
– You can use soy yogurt or lactose-free yogurt; since they are less thick, add a bit more shredded coconut for the right consistency.
