Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour (I use type 1)
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • lemon zest
  • 1 cup jam (I use fig)
  • 2 apples

Steps

  • Pour the flour with the sugar and salt into a bowl, add the egg and oil, grated lemon zest or vanilla extract.

  • Work with a fork until you get a crumbly mixture, you can use your fingers if you prefer but with the fork it takes just a moment.

  • Pour part of the mixture into a 9-inch pan lined with paper, add the jam, peeled and sliced apples, and cover with the rest of the crumble.

  • Bake at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes, until the surface is golden.
