Ingredients for fries in the Moulinex Turbo Cuisine & Fry:
- 14 oz fries (frozen)
- to taste fine salt
Tools for fries in the Moulinex Turbo Cuisine & Fry:
- 1 multicooker
- 1 Spatula
Steps for preparing and cooking fries in the Moulinex Turbo Cuisine & Fry:
The preparation is very simple and quick, the result is the same as fries in an air fryer but with the Moulinex multicooker with the addition of the air cooking lid.
In the basket, place the still frozen fries, you can use either matchstick fries or larger ones based on your preferences.
There’s no need to add extra virgin olive oil, but if you want them more golden, spray some olive oil with an oil spray bottle; this way, the oil will be well atomized, then turn them well with a silicone spatula.
Place the Turbo Crisp lid on the pot, it doesn’t need to be locked, just aligned with the handles of the two devices.
Plug the electric cord into an outlet, then set either the manual or automatic cooking mode.
For manual mode, adjust the temperature by pressing the button with the clock and thermometer image, then use the + and – buttons to set 392°F, and then 20 minutes, press the start button.
For automatic mode, click on menu, set program 3 (always with the + and – buttons) for 20 minutes, and then press start.
For program choice (automatic or manual), be careful that in automatic mode, the temperature is set and cannot be changed, at 392°F for fries, meat, poultry, and snacks, while for desserts at 320°F.
Halfway through cooking, press the stop button, remove the lid (be careful, it’s very hot), turn the fries with a spatula, then put it back and press the start button to finish cooking.
Remove the fries from the basket, place them on a large plate, salt them, and serve them immediately while hot.
Tips:
You can also make fries without using frozen ones. In this case, peel the potatoes and cut them into strips, then soak them for 30 minutes in a bowl with cold water, drain them, and dry them well.
In a bowl, put a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, add the potatoes, and mix them well to flavor them well, put the fries in the basket without adding any remaining oil from the bowl, cook for about 25 minutes, turning them halfway through as per the recipe.
Check the cooking; otherwise, cook for a few more minutes. Salt them before serving.
