- 3/4 cup flour
- 3.5 oz 70% dark chocolate (coarsely chopped)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 eggs (large)
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup walnuts (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder

Steps for Christmas Brownies
In a bowl, place the butter and add the dark chocolate, melt in the microwave or a double boiler.
Once the butter and chocolate are melted, add the sugar and mix well.
Add the eggs and incorporate, then add the sifted flour and baking powder, continue to mix.
Add the cocoa, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground cloves, a pinch of salt.
Mix to combine the ingredients, finally add the ground ginger and walnuts. Once the batter is ready, pour it into a 12×12 inch pan lined with parchment paper.
Level the surface and bake at 350°F (static mode) for 30/35 minutes, remember that the cooking time is indicative, always adjust to your oven. Perform the toothpick test: insert the toothpick in the center, which should come out with a few crumbs attached to have a perfect brownie; soft inside, melt-in-your-mouth, with a slight, crispy crust outside. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan, then cut into squares and decorate with powdered sugar or gingerbread men and enjoy!
