- 3 1/4 cups Rosso Piceno red wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Useful Tools
- Pot
- Spoon
- Corkscrew

- Bowl

- Small Bowls
Steps to Make Red Wine Pears
Start by washing the mini Coscia pears thoroughly and drying them carefully so as not to damage them. Make sure to leave the skin and stem if they have one.
In a stainless steel pot, pour the red wine, add the sugar and cinnamon, and stir quickly. Add the pears.
Put on high heat, and once it starts boiling, calculate 10 minutes of cooking for the mini pears. After 10 minutes, remove them with the skimmer and place them in a large glass bowl to cool.
Continue cooking the wine, increase the heat to the maximum, and let it reduce by two-thirds (stir occasionally). To make it easier, you should have just over half left. Once reduced, let it cool in the pot.
When both the wine and pears are well chilled, pour the wine reduction into the bowl with the pears, cover with cling film, and refrigerate for at least 5 hours before serving.
When serving the red wine pears, place 2 in each glass bowl and drench them with 4 tablespoons of reduction, or serve the red wine reduction in a separate cup, and enjoy!

Tips
Red wine pears, in addition to being a great dessert for the end of a meal, can also be used to decorate a cake.
They need 5 hours of rest in the fridge, but if you leave them overnight, it’s even better!
If you want to make them more indulgent, you can add a dollop of whipped cream!
