The pistachio mug cake or Mug Cake is the perfect dessert when we need a little treat. Easy and quick to make, it’s ready in just 2 minutes, using only the mug. An incredibly delicious dessert that becomes even more irresistible with pistachio cream, I’m sure it will win you over at first taste. This mug cake is one of my favorites, along with the yogurt and chocolate one. Try them both and let me know which flavor you love the most!

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1.4 oz pistachio spread (+ 2 teaspoons and q.b. for decoration)
- 0.7 oz pistachio granules

Steps Pistachio Mug Cake
To prepare the pistachio mug cake, mix the egg and sugar, making sure to blend well, add the flour and the teaspoon of baking powder. Mix with the same fork until you create a smooth and creamy mixture.
Now add the milk and continuing to stir, add the 1.4 oz of pistachio spread and mix the batter. Finally, add another 2 teaspoons of spread on top. Cook in the microwave at 900 watts for one minute or at 750 watts for 2 minutes. Always adjust with your microwave, but I recommend not cooking the mug cake for more than 2 minutes.
Otherwise, it loses its creaminess and becomes spongy. Once ready, pour the pistachio spread on top and garnish with unsalted pistachio granules. Enjoy it immediately and have a nice treat!
Remember the mug used in the microwave must always be ceramic or porcelain.

Pistachio Mug Cake Variations
The pistachio mug cake should be consumed immediately to savor its softness. We can swap the pistachio for chocolate spread and maybe also add chocolate chips. Alternatively, it’s also delicious with jam.
