Ingredients for Apple and Cinnamon Cake

  • 7.1 oz cream cheese
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 12 oz Golden Delicious apples (Sliced)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder (+ for decoration)
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 Golden Delicious apple (Sliced for decoration)
  • as needed powdered sugar (For decoration)

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Springform pan
  • 1 Sieve

Steps

  • In a large bowl, pour the cream cheese with the eggs and mix the ingredients well. Add the sugar and continue mixing the ingredients.

  • Then sift the flour and add it in small doses, always mixing the batter with a whisk, making sure no lumps form. Gradually add the oil, the teaspoon of cinnamon, and finally the sifted baking powder. Mix all the ingredients well.

  • Finally, prepare the apples: wash them, peel them, and slice them. Once ready, add them to the batter. Pour everything into a 22 cm springform pan, with the bottom lined with parchment paper. I usually use a springform pan, especially for soft cakes, so there are no problems when removing the cake once cooked, available here.

  • Decorate the surface of the cake with apple slices and sprinkle with cinnamon, bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for about 40 minutes. The baking time is indicative, always adjust based on your oven. Before removing from the oven, always do the toothpick test; once cooled, dust with powdered sugar…
