Homemade cereal bars are a perfect snack.
Great for breakfast and snacks, I have to say they’ve helped me replace lunch on several occasions.
Just a few simple steps to prepare a healthy and genuine snack, I used crunchy muesli with dried fruits, low in sugar and fat. You can use the cereals you love the most, as well as dried fruits. The result will always be great, and in the end, we can decorate our cereal bars with dark, milk, or white chocolate.

Preparation of Cereal Bars
If you like snacks, also try the coconut and yogurt snacks or the puffed rice bars and chocolate.
Pour the muesli or cereals into a large non-stick pan; “I preferred crunchy muesli with dried fruits.” Add the chopped pistachios, hazelnuts, and unsalted pumpkin seeds.
Add the honey and heat the mixture on the stove, just enough to liquefy the honey. Once ready, pour everything over a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
It is preferable to slightly oil the parchment paper with sunflower oil, this will help during cutting. Now level the mixture with your hands, you can use another sheet of parchment paper.
Remember that this step is crucial for the thickness of the bar. Bake in a static oven at 285°F for about 35 minutes, the cooking time is indicative, always adjust according to your oven.
Remove from the oven and let cool, after the time, use a large-blade knife to cut the bars. Now they’re ready to be enjoyed, if you like chocolate you can decorate them as you like.
I used dark chocolate, but milk or white is also fine. Just melt the chocolate, a few minutes in the microwave or bain-marie. Then decorate the cereal snacks and let the chocolate solidify as long as needed.

Storage and Variations
The bars can be stored for several days in a tin box, I wrapped them first in oiled paper, but parchment paper is also fine. If you store the snacks for more days, nothing happens they’ll just become softer because of the honey. But I think it won’t be necessary because they will disappear in no time! Enjoy your treat!
