Amaretto and cream tart, a fantastic idea born by chance. You should know that in a food blogger’s house, there are never shortages of kitchen equipment, anything, but above all, foods of every type, quality, and size! So, as I was saying, having some amaretti at home and not wanting to use them for a simple fruit crumble or a baked dessert, I thought of this delicious tart with the addition of cream. A very simple lemon-scented cream, although I must confess that the amaretto steals the show with its flavor and aroma.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (grated)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 7 oz amaretti
- 6 lemon peels (whole)
- 2 eggs
Tools
- Non-stick baking pan
- Parchment paper
Steps
I prepare the pastry dough directly on the pastry board, combining the flour and sugar, mixing, and blending in the butter cut into small pieces directly from the fridge without melting it. Now I add the eggs and if needed some more flour, a grating of lemon peel, and in less than 10 minutes the shortcrust pastry is ready.
I prepare the pastry and let it rest in the fridge for half an hour.
I take it out and roll it directly on the parchment paper and immediately into the pan, arrange the amaretti on the shortcrust pastry in a radial pattern with a light pressure.
To prepare the cream, I heat the milk with the sugar and lemon peels in a small saucepan.
In a small bowl, I lightly beat the eggs and pour them into the warm milk.
Mix the two ingredients well
slowly pour the cream over the amaretti, taking care not to detach them from the bottom.
As soon as I finish pouring the cream over the tart with the amaretti, I place it in a preheated oven at 350°F for 35 minutes
And here it is ready.
Sprinkle the amaretto and cream tart with powdered sugar, ready to be enjoyed.
