How to Make Crumb Cake with Type 1 Flour
In a bowl, place the egg, egg yolk, and sugar. Mix with a fork.
Add water and oil, and mix.
Finally, add flour, baking powder, and chocolate chips. Work the mixture with your hands until you get a homogeneous dough.
Divide the dough into two equal parts. Line a 9.5-inch mold with parchment paper and spread one part of the pastry on the base. Also, create a small edge.
Cover the base of the crumb cake with a layer of jam.
Take the remaining pastry and crumble it coarsely over the cake. Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F and let it cook for about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the cooking times based on your oven.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and if you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
