Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Delicious treats, soft inside and crunchy outside, perfect to munch on anytime during the day.
They’ve been trending online for several weeks now, and who am I not to try them? They are named after a famous chain based in the United States. They are giant and delicious cookies very similar to cookies. Once baked, they are decorated with lots of cream cheese and fruit.
Of course, the ones I prepared are not the original recipe, but I made my own version. I liked them. Please try them and let me know how you find them.
Let’s see right away how to prepare the butter and chocolate chip cookies.

How to prepare the butter and chocolate chip cookies
In a bowl, add the sugar and the brown sugar. Mix with a spoon.
Add the cold butter cut into pieces and work the mixture with your hands. You should obtain a compact dough.
Add an egg and a yolk and mix with the spoon.
Add the chocolate chips, potato starch, baking powder, and a few drops of lemon flavor. (You can substitute lemon flavor with grated zest of a lemon or vanilla flavor). Mix with a spoon.
Add the flour. Start mixing with the spoon, then continue kneading by hand until you get a homogeneous dough. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 40 minutes.
Using your hands, take portions of dough (about 1.75 oz) and form the cookies. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F (180°C) and let them cook for about 15 minutes.
When they start to brown underneath but are still soft on top, open the oven and gently press the cookies with the back of a spoon and continue baking.
Remove from the oven, let the cookies cool, and decorate them according to your taste. I used hazelnut cream, almonds, and crumbled cookies. Naturally, they are also good without decoration.
